LeBron James

Lebron James is an American Basketball player from Akron, Ohio. LeBron has played for 3 teams: The Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron has won 4 NBA Championships along with 4 Finals MVPs. He has also won 4 MVPs and has made 18 All-Star appearances. From 2011 to 2018 LeBron made the Finals in all those years in a row.

LeBron James grew up without a father and homeless with just him and his mother, Gloria Marie James. LeBron’s father had a very extensive criminal record and was not in LeBron’s life. LeBron’s mother struggled to find a job or place to live so they often moved apartment to apartment. LeBron began playing organized basketball in 5th grade.

LeBron went to St. Vincent St. Mary High School which was very controversial because the school was predominantly full of white kids. As a freshman, James averaged 21 points and 6 rebounds per game for St. Vincent-St. Mary varsity basketball team. The Fighting Irish went 27–0 en route to the Division III state title, making them the only boys high school team in Ohio to finish the season undefeated.

During his sophomore year, LeBron was named Ohio’s Mr. Basketball and was made USA Today All-First Team. Before he became a junior he was featured on the cover of the SLAM magazine.

LeBron was viewed as a top pick in the draft after his senior year. As expected, LeBron was the 1st overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who at the time were one of the worst teams in the league. LeBron scored 25 points in his first-ever NBA game vs the Sacramento Kings. LeBron ended his rookie campaign winning Rookie of the Year. The Cavs went 35-47, missing the playoffs despite having an 18-game improvement.

James earned his first NBA All-Star Game selection in 2004–05, contributing 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists in a winning effort for the Eastern Conference. On March 20, James scored 56 points against the Toronto Raptors, setting Cleveland’s new single-game points record. With final averages of 27.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game, he was named to his first All-NBA Team. Despite a 30–20 record to start the year, the Cavaliers again failed to make the playoffs, finishing the season 42–40.

During the 2008-09 season, the Cavs finished 66-16 on the year. LeBron also won MVP that year taking his team to the playoffs. His play led them to the conference finals where they lost to the magic.

After having no success with the Cavs LeBron decided to join the Miami Heat. LeBron, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh managed to win 2 championships in their 4 years as teammates. After the 2014 season, LeBron decided to go back to Cleveland. There he won Cleveland’s first NBA championship in Franchise history. After making the Finals 8 years in a row, LeBron signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron has won 1 championship with the Lakers so far but things have been going downhill with the team. LeBron is one of if not the greatest player of all time and the stats also prove it.
